Frequently asked

Questions, answered

How do I cut MP3 online?
Drop your MP3 into the Autrans cutter, drag the start and end handles to the section you want, and click Download. The trimmed file lands in your downloads folder in seconds, no install, and no account, for files up to 50 MB.
Is there a free audio cutter without watermark?
Yes. The cutter is genuinely free, with no account and no watermark. It runs entirely on your own device, which is why it costs us nothing to give away. Files up to 50 MB; signed in on Pro, up to 500 MB.
How do I trim audio without losing quality?
Lossless formats (WAV, FLAC) trim with zero quality loss. Lossy formats (MP3, AAC, OGG) re-encode at high VBR to keep the cut clean. For an exact-cut without any re-encode, output to WAV or FLAC.
Can I cut audio on iPhone or Android?
Yes. Autrans runs in any browser. On Android, install Autrans as a PWA and the cutter works offline. iPhone Safari works in-browser; sub-60 second clips return almost instantly.
Is uploading audio safe?
Nothing is uploaded. The cutter runs entirely on your own device, so there is no copy on our servers to keep private, retain or delete, and it works the same with your connection off.
How long can the audio file be?
There is no time limit. The only cap is file size: 50 MB without an account, 500 MB on Pro. Only the window you mark gets processed, so trimming a clip out of a long recording is no slower than trimming a short one.
