AuTrans for Technology Companies, Fintechs and BPOs

User research, support and sales calls, demos and all-hands turned into searchable text — including the Pidgin calls the international tools do not support.

A head of product, a head of customer experience or an ops lead, spending from a tool budget rather than a capital line, so the decision moves in weeks. At a fintech, whoever owns compliance reviews the data handling before anyone signs.

What this looks like today

  • User research and usability interviews get recorded and then never analysed, so the insight sits in a folder nobody opens
  • Support and sales QA covers a handful of calls per agent because listening is the bottleneck, not scoring
  • The support calls that most need reviewing are conducted in Pidgin, which the international transcription tools a Nigerian team already pays for do not list as a supported language
  • Product demos, sprint reviews and all-hands are recorded for whoever missed them, and nobody goes back to an hour of video
  • Compliance monitoring at a fintech means someone re-listening to verification calls one at a time when a regulator asks a question
  • Per-seat tools priced in dollars are hard to justify for a team that needs transcripts often but not daily

What changes

  • Research and usability interviews come back as searchable text with speakers separated, so a theme can be traced across a whole round instead of the one session somebody remembers
  • Ask a transcript a question — what did this user actually say about onboarding — rather than replaying an hour to find the thirty seconds that mattered
  • Calls in Pidgin, Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo are transcribed directly, so QA can cover the real queue rather than the English-only slice of it
  • Code-switching inside a single call — the agent moving between English and Pidgin to match the customer — stays intact rather than being dropped
  • AI notes pull the summary, decisions and action items out of a demo or an all-hands, so a recording becomes something people actually read
  • Every line is linked to its moment in the audio, so a customer objection can be checked in a click before it goes into a roadmap deck
  • A mixed-language session can also be produced translated into a single language, with the original kept alongside it for anyone who needs the words as they were said
  • Transcripts export to DOCX, PDF, SRT or VTT, and a share link can be issued view-only, so the rest of the team reads a transcript without occupying a seat

Procurement, data and contracts

  • Customer and user audio is never used to train AI models, on any plan. Text corrections improve the product only where an account has explicitly opted in, and an institutional account can have that off from the day it is created
  • Recordings and transcripts can be deleted on request, and deletion takes the derived data with it — which is what lets you honour a retention clause in your own customer terms
  • We will sign your DPA and complete your vendor security questionnaire. Send them to us rather than asking whether we have our own
  • Where audio and transcripts are stored, and for how long, goes into the agreement in writing — ask and we will answer it precisely rather than reassuringly
  • There is no developer API yet. It is on the waitlist at /developers, not shipped, and everything today runs through the dashboard and its exports
  • Invoiced monthly or annually against a purchase order, in Naira, by a CAC-registered Nigerian company — no card on file, no foreign vendor to onboard, and no per-seat licence to reconcile
  • Allowances are set on your account directly, so a heavy research quarter or a compliance review does not need a plan change

Frequently asked questions

Do you have an API?

Not yet, and we would rather you read that here than find it during an evaluation. A developer API is the thing we are asked for most and do not have; there is a waitlist at /developers, and joining it is the most direct way to influence when it ships. Today the workflow is uploading through the dashboard, several files at a time, and taking the output as text, DOCX, PDF, SRT or VTT.

Our support calls are in Pidgin. Do the tools we already pay for not cover that?

They do not. Pidgin does not appear on the supported-language list of the international tools a Nigerian team is likely to be paying for already, and that gap is the reason AuTrans exists. Nigerian Pidgin, Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo are first-class alongside Nigerian-accented English, and an agent who switches between English and Pidgin inside one call is handled as a single recording rather than something you have to split up first.

Can we run QA across the whole call queue instead of a sample?

Each call comes back with the agent and the customer separated, timestamped and searchable, so scoring stops being gated on how long somebody can spend listening. The limit is volume rather than capability: tell us roughly how many hours a month the queue produces and we will quote against it. Note that this is a dashboard upload workflow today, not an automated feed from your telephony — there is no API yet.

We are a fintech. What happens to customer audio?

Audio is never used to train AI models, on any plan. Text corrections are only ever used where an account has explicitly opted in, and yours can have that off from the start. Transcripts stay private to your account unless you create a view-only link, and anything can be deleted on request including the data derived from it. If your compliance policy sets a retention window, tell us the window and we will hold to it in the agreement.

How do we try it before involving procurement?

The free plan includes 30 minutes of transcription every month, which refills, and that is enough to run your own recordings through it — your call quality, your accents, your languages — before anyone raises a requisition. If you want a wider trial across a support team or a full research round, ask and we will set the allowance for it.
